Relationship Counselling
We all want to feel loved, connected and valued in our relationships. But sometimes, despite our best efforts, we can find ourselves feeling lonely, alienated or stuck in unhelpful patterns. Whether your relationship challenge is a long-standing issue or a new stressor, help is available. Relationship counselling is suitable for any couple, regardless of their marital status or length of time together. Thrive with Therapy provides confidential, caring and tailored support to help you and your partner discuss, address and resolve your unique relationship needs and challenges.

Relationship counselling is often sought by couples who are experiencing:

-
Communication breakdowns: Frequent arguments, lack of open dialogue, or feeling unheard.
-
Conflict and resentment: Difficulty resolving disagreements, holding onto grudges, or a build-up of negative feelings.

-
Major life transitions: The birth of a child, a career change, or a move that puts strain on a relationship.

-
Intimacy issues: A decline in emotional connection or physical intimacy.

-
Infidelity: The aftermath of an afair and the process of rebuilding trust.

-
Pre-martital counselling: Preparing for marriage by discussing expectations, values and potential challenges.

What to expect:
Sessions typically last 60 minutes and are held weekly or fortnightly. An initial consultation can often help to clarify the presenting issues, the needs and goals of each person, and a preliminary plan for the next sessions. This is a good opportunity for couples to ask any questions they have about therapy, and to assess whether I am a good fit for them.
